Owner of Right Light Photography, Ltd., Dave specializes in ‘people’ photography and is well known for his ability to tell stories with photographs. Before starting this business, he was the staff photographer with MacGregor Studios for 8 years. He has been a working photographer since the mid 70’s. By combining his skills in product, landscape and industrial imaging with his knack for bringing out the personality of his subjects, he creates classic and contemporary images with impact, emotion and humour.
Dave is a Dean’s List graduate of the Professional Photography Program at Langara College and is now an instructor for both full time and Continuing Studies at the College. He has been an instructor at Focal Point Visual Arts Learning Center. He continues to study with some of the finest photographers in North America on a regular basis.
An active member of the Professional Photographers of Canada, and British Columbia, Dave has won the Fuji Masterpiece Award in the Portrait category as well as PPABC and PPOC honours for his work. He is Nationally Accredited in Portraiture, Wedding Story and Wedding Portrait.
Dave has also lectured on Advanced Portraiture for the Abbotsford Photographic Arts Society and judges for local photography associations.
